Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus which, even if a multipath wave exists, separates the principal wave from correlation multipath waves, or multipath waves of the principal wave, and accurately measures the arrival direction of the principal wave and its multipath waves. SOLUTION: First, the approximate arrival direction of the principal wave is estimated by the blind separation method from an observed value. From a signal arriving from the arrival direction, the arrival direction of the principal wave is further measured by using an interference-separable algorithm. The interference-separable algorithm is selected from one among the group consisting of MUSIC method, WSF method, USF method, ML method, minimum variance method, DOSE method, ESPRIT method, or VESPA method.
