Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide concrete wherein thermal cracking is effectively suppressed by using a coefficient of linear expansion during a curing step as an indicator, and a manufacturing method of concrete whereby thermal cracking is effectively suppressed by compounding materials selected using the coefficient of linear expansion as an indicator. SOLUTION: Cracking in the concrete is suppressed by adjusting the coefficient of linear expansion during the curing step to ≤9.5×10-6/°C, preferably ≤8.0×10-6/°C. In the manufacturing method of concrete, types and amounts of materials and the water-cement ratio are determined so as to achieve a coefficient of linear expansion equal to or below the reference value during the curing step.
