Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device which reduces a crosstalk between adjacent optical waveguides which are disposed in high density for connecting between electronic integrated circuit devices. SOLUTION: Provided is the semiconductor device which includes: a support substrate 1; an electronic integrated circuit device 2 connected and fixed onto the support substrate 1; a light-emitting device 4 located on the support substrate 1 for converting an electric signal outputted from the electronic integrated circuit device 2 into a light signal; a light receiving device 5 located on the support substrate 1 for converting the light signal into the electric signal to input it into the electronic integrated circuit device 2; a first optical waveguide connected optically to the light-emitting device 4; and a second optical waveguide which is connected optically to the light receiving device 5, has an optical propagation direction which is reverse to the optical propagation direction in the first optical waveguide, and is adjacent to the first optical waveguide. The semiconductor device further includes a pair of optical waveguide pairs located on the support substrate 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
