Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device wherein a phosphor-containing resin filled in a recess provided in a housing for sealing a semiconductor light-emitting element mounted on a bottom of the recess and a translucent resin similarly filled on the phosphor-containing resin in the recess do not exfoliate from the housing and little unevenness in chromaticity in irradiation light occurs. SOLUTION: A first recess 3 having a semiconductor light-emitting element 7 mounted on its bottom and a second recess 5 having an opening 4 above the first recess 3 are formed in the housing 2, and a step 6 is formed at a border between an upper part of the first recess 3 and a lower part of the second recess 5. A first resin 8 including translucent resin mixed with a phosphor is filled into the first recess 3 to have the element 7 resin-sealed, and in addition, the first resin 8 is swollen in a curved form along an inner peripheral surface 9 of the second recess 5 from the first recess 3 to cover the inner peripheral surface 9 of the second recess 5.
