Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill discrimination device which has minimum components and is inexpensive and is capable of surely enhancing the anti-theft property. SOLUTION: A main body frame 1 has a fame opening 11 for bill carrying-in, formed in an upper position apart from a bill guide hole of a bill entrance portion disposed in a front surface of the main body frame 1. The frame opening 11 is constituted in a size corresponding to the width of bills to be inserted, and a carrying guide plate constituting a bill carrying path is disposed in the frame opening 11 in an inverted U shape so as to extend between the front side and the rear side of the main body frame 1. First carrying rollers comprising a pair of right and left carrying rollers 7R and 7L and second carrying rollers comprising carrying rollers 8R and 8L disposed above the carrying rollers 7R and 7L are disposed on the rear side of the main body frame 1.
