Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical incise drape that can be effectively and efficiently applied to a patient in wrinkle-free form so as to minimize possibility of infection; to improve visibility through the film when the drape is applied to the patient; and to reduce the amount of waste resulting from the use of the drape. SOLUTION: A liner 16 covers the major portion of a flexible film 12, which is coated with an adhesive. The liner includes a liner handle 22 at the leading edge 35 and one of the liner handle 22 and a film handle 18 is of a size for wrapping about at least a portion of the drape 10 when the drape 10 is in a folded configuration. Tensioning strips 20 on the liner 16 hold at least a portion of the flexible film 12 lying between the film handle 18 and the tensioning strip 20 in a wrinkle-free state when the liner 16 is removed from the major portion of the flexible film 12.
