Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead wire connection device for electrode foil for a capacitor, with which electrode foil having superior reliability can be stably manufactured by solving the problem that short-circuiting is caused by punch burrs formed on the lead wire. SOLUTION: The lead wire connection device for the electrode foil for the capacitor comprises a table unit 6 which holds the lead wire by a chuck 6a and intermittently rotates, a lead wire processing unit 7 which forms a flat portion at one end of the lead wire and punches it to a predetermined width, and a lead wire joining unit 8 wherein the flat portion of the lead wire is arranged on a top surface of electrode foil 2, a through hole is bored, and the lead wire is crimp-coupled to electrode foil 2. The punch burrs produced by the lead wire processing unit 7 can be held in the same direction and disposed on the electrode foil 2, so the crimp coupling becomes possible while the punch burrs are brought into contact with the electrode foil 2, short-circuiting caused by the punch burrs of the lead wire piercing a separator is completely eliminated to improve the state of connection between the lead wire and electrode foil 2, and connection resistance is reducible.
