PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an axle having a simple structure capable of sufficiently exhibiting a lubricating function by a small amount of lubricating oil and having a bearing which facilitates the replacement of lubricating oil. SOLUTION: The bearing device for the axle is provided with a hub shaft 2 comprising a flange 3 fitted with a wheel and a cylindrical part 5 provided at the inner side of the flange 3 and with the bearing 10 which includes an inner ring 11, an outer ring 13 having an injection/discharge hole 15 for lubricating oil and rolling elements 20 rollingly arranged between the inner ring 11 and the outer ring 13 has oil seals 21a, 22b fitted to openings at inner and outer sides between the inner ring 11 and the outer ring 13 and is press-fitted to the cylindrical part 5 of the hub shaft 2. Lubricating oil 25 is injected from the injection/discharge hole 15 formed at the outer ring 13 of the bearing 10 to a space between the inner ring 11 and the outer ring 13, and the injection/discharge hole 15 is closed by an openable/closable plug 17.
