PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a deterioration in picture quality accompanying the shifting of dot forming positions when a recording head is fitted while being inclined to an inkjet recording apparatus. SOLUTION: This recording apparatus has a storing means, an information acquiring means, a data changing means, and a driving order changing means. In this case, the storing means is used for storing recording data. The information acquiring means acquires information regarding the inclination of a recording element array to the main scanning direction. The data changing means can change the storing position in the main scanning direction of the recording data being stored in the storing means, which imparts continuous recording elements belonging to each block in the recording element array as a group to the recording elements in the group conforming to the acquired information, for each recording element. The driving order changing means changes the driving order of the recording elements, which are time-share-driven for each block, for each group. Then, the recording is performed conforming to the recording data of which the storing position in the main scanning direction has been changed by the data order changing means, and the driving order which has been changed by the driving order changing means.
