SOLUTION: Changeable data or information of the home electric appliance A is temporarily downloaded into the mobile phone K, through access to the website S of an appliance manufacturer from the mobile phone K and retrieval of the model number or the like of the home electric appliance (e.g., electric rice cooker A), and the data are transmitted to the home electric appliance A using the function of the mobile phone K in such a state. The electric appliance includes a receiving means 30 for receiving the transmitted data and a data changing means for changing changeable internal data from the data received by the receiving means 30. The data of the electric appliance A are altered or added using communication function of the mobile phone K being a familiar communication device, so that the use of the electric appliance A is facilitated.
