SOLUTION: This liquid crystal panel 10A is provided with a light shielding film (semiconductor film 302, source wiring material layer 31 or the like) on connection wires 191and 192for connecting an electrostatic protection element to a common wire, in the liquid crystal panel having a thin film transistor serving as a switching element, and provided with the electrostatic protection element for connecting a short-circuiting wire arranged near a display area to the common wire.
