Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head which is not thermally overloaded, and in the outer wall region of which cooling uniformity can be secured. SOLUTION: In a cylinder head in which a combined exhaust-gas line 6 formed by merging a plurality of exhaust-gas lines is integrally provided, a lower coolant jacket 2a disposed in the lower part of the exhaust-gas lines and the upper coolant jacket 2b disposed in the upper part of the exhaust-gas lines are integrally formed in the cylinder head, a communicating part 7 connecting the lower coolant jacket 2a with the upper coolant jacket 2b is provided on the outer wall of the cylinder head from which the combined exhaust-gas line 6 comes out, and the communicating part 7 is made to function as a passage of coolant.
