PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase output of a nuclear power plant without changing constitution of plant equipment in the nuclear power plant. SOLUTION: In an operation method of the nuclear power plant 10, assuming that a period from start of a reactor 11 until operation stop of the reactor for fuel exchange is one operation period, the thermal output of the reactor in the (N+1)-th operation cycle is increased furthermore than the thermal output of the reactor in the N-th operation cycle before the (N+1)-th operation cycle, and the ratio of a bleeding steam flow rate bled from a high-pressure steam system 12 by a high-pressure bleeding system and guided to a high-pressure heater 26 to a main steam flow rate at the reactor outlet is reduced in the (N+1)-th operation cycle in comparison with the case in the N-th operation cycle, and thereby the enthalpy or temperature at the reactor inlet of supply water to be supplied from a water supply system 14 into the reactor 11 is controlled in the (N+1)-th operation cycle equally to the case in the N-th operation cycle.
