SOLUTION: A reception state determination means 10 of this radio-controlled timepiece controls a selection means 7 to select the optimum condition from a plurality of discrimination conditions of a discrimination condition 1, a discrimination condition 2, and the like, a discrimination condition N stored in a storage means 6, corresponding to a discrimination state of a discrimination means 8 for performing code discrimination, and thereby the discrimination means 8 can perform the code discrimination of the output from the reception part 1 at all times in the optimum discrimination condition, to thereby enable improvement in the reception sensitivity.
