Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program recorder in which, even if a fault occurs during program recording using a storage device such as an external storage wherein delay may occur until nonvolatile recording, occurrence of a missed portion is prevented or reduced and program recording can be automatically succeeded. SOLUTION: A program stream of broadcasting received by a digital TV apparatus 2 is normally video-recorded by a first NAS 5a as an external storage device and concurrently looped-video-recorded by a second NAS 5b. It is monitored by a CPU 8a whether or not a fault occurs in the first NAS 5a which performs normal video recording. In the case that a fault occurs, the second NAS 5b is changed from looped video-recording to normal video recording and furthermore, looped video-recording is performed by a third NAS 3c.
