Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the association of a new network device introduced to a network with application software for controlling the network device. SOLUTION: Address information about network devices 3a to 3c and a device 3d to be controlled is acquired. The address information that does not match address information read out from an address storage part 111 is detected. Controlled device names read out from a controlled device information storage part 112 are displayed for selection. A host name corresponding to a selected controlled device name is read out from the controlled device information storage part 112, and the host name read out and the address information detected are associatively set in a host table 113.
