Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blood collection from burdening patients and improve the prevention of blood infection of healthcare professionals more than a conventional method by a method for detecting the critical state of cardiac diseases by measuring the concentration of 1-β-D-ribofuranosyl pyridine-4-on-3-carboxamide in urine (creatinine correction value). SOLUTION: The concentration of 1-β-D-ribofuranosyl pyridine-4-on-3-carboxamide (henceforth, 4,3-PCNR) in urine derived from object mammals is measured and compared with the concentration of 4,3-PCNR derived from a healthy mammal to detect a state in which cardiac diseases have developed or the state of a strong possibility of future development of cardiac diseases in the object mammals.
