Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate inefficient processor processing or excessive power consumption due to discordance between a sampling period and a processing time of a control processing program wherein it is necessary to periodically sample an external signal in a control mechanism of a servo control device. SOLUTION: In this servo control device, an interrupt period timer circuit 102 generates a periodic reference trigger signal b based on the sampling of the external signal. By detecting a completion notification signal c of arithmetic processing of a processor 103 started at every reference trigger signal in a clock master circuit 104, clock supply to the processor 103 is stopped. The reference clock signal b is inputted to the clock master circuit 104, to restart the clock supply. Thus, the arithmetic processing of the processor is completed, and the clock supply to the processor is stopped until the processor is next started to improve efficiency of the arithmetic processing or reduce the power consumption of the servo control device.
