Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an imaging device such as a digital camera etc., having a consecutive shooting function to acquire images imaged under respectively suitable imaging conditions for a plurality of objects that a user intends when taking photographs using a self-timer function. SOLUTION: Image data are generated by imaging subjects during self-timer consecutive shooting, and two or more prescribed objects P are detected from the generated image data. When a shutter button is half-pressed (refer to Fig.6(a)), imaging conditions are determined for a preferential object (for example, P2) and an imaging means is set on the basis of the determined imaging conditions; objects are detected again from the image data a prescribed time after the shutter button is fully pressed (refer to Fig.6(b)), imaging conditions are determined for the detected objects (P1 to P4), and two or more consecutively shot image data are recorded in external recording media or an internal memory.
