Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil capable of holding an elastic member at an edge reliably even in a core forming a closed magnetic circuit, and capable of preventing deterioration in magnetic characteristic and the generation of cracks by absorbing thermal strain and magnetic strain. SOLUTION: In the ignition coil, a coil assembly which has primary and secondary coils and the core forming the closed magnetic circuit is stored in a coil case, and an insulating resin is filled between respective constituent members. In a core member 1812, a surface other than a plane at one edge is covered with a mold resin 1813. A portion forming the periphery of the plane of one edge of the core member 1812 of the mold resin 1813 projects from the plane of the edge by 1-2 mm. The elastic member 1817 is arranged in a space surrounded by the projecting mold resin 1813. The elastic member 1817 covers the plane of one edge in the core. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
