Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dump truck capable of effectively restraining unexpected tilting of a load carrying platform when starting an engine next time and to provide its driving control device. SOLUTION: This dump truck is furnished with a hydraulic cylinder 8 to tilt the load carrying platform 4, a control valve 11 to control flow of pressure oil to the hydraulic cylinder 8, an actuator 14 to drive the control valve 11, the control device 15 to drive the actuator 14 in accordance with an operation signal from an operation device 20 and a delay circuit 23 to supply electric power from an electric power source 21 to the control device 15 only for a set period of time even after a key switch 22 is switched OFF. The control device 15 carries out a procedure 101 to judge ON/OFF of the key switch 22 based on an input signal from the key switch 22, procedures 102, 103 to judge a spool position of the control valve 11 when the key switch 22 is switched OFF and a procedure 104 to change a spool valve system 13 over to a neutral position N only for the set period of time when the spool position of the control valve 11 is at a position to extend and contract the hydraulic cylinder 8.
