Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head which can attain prevention of damage to a heater due to contact of a tip of a movable member with the heater, is promoted in refilling of a liquid and is improved in response of the movable member. SOLUTION: A plurality of open holes 31 are formed to a part of a free end of the movable member 60. The liquid refilled from a common liquid chamber enters a space between the movable member 60 and the heater through the open holes 31 of the movable member 60 because the open holes 31 permit passing of the liquid. The liquid entering the space prevents the movable member 60 from going further downward from a stationary state. As a result, the movable member 60 is prevented from contacting to the heater as conventionally. At the same time, refilling of the liquid is promoted through the open holes 31, and the response of the movable member 60 is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
