Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive cooperative relay mapping method in a wireless sensor network. SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes the steps of: at a cluster header node, randomly allocating different data sub-streams to a plurality of different relay nodes; at the cluster header node, broadcasting video streams to different relay nodes; at each of the plurality of relay nodes, recording its own transfer performance parameter in a temporal cycle, estimating a channel status parameter and feeding the channel status parameter back to the cluster header node; at the cluster header node, updating a scheme for mapping data sub-streams to the plurality of different relay nodes based upon an optimization target and the channel status parameters from the plurality of relay nodes; and at the cluster header node, allocating data sub-streams to the plurality of different relay nodes in accordance with the updated data sub-stream mapping order.
