Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of continuous casting, which method can stabilize the operation of the continuous casting and the quality of continuously cast slab by suppressing the clogging of an immersed nozzle without causing the deterioration of the operability and the increase of a cost. SOLUTION: In the continuous casting, the molten steel of aluminum killed steel containing 0.02 or less mass% of C, and 0.01 or more mass% of Ti is supplied into a casting mold using the immersed nozzle containing 42 to 52 mass% of Al2O3, 20 to 30 mass% of graphite, 15 to 25 mass% of SiO2, and 5 to 10 mass% of SiC. When 1,000 ton or more of the molten steel per one immersed nozzle is continuously cast, S and/or rare earth elements are added into the molten steel before the start of casting so as to satisfy the following equation (1): [%S]≤0.004+[%Ti]/15 and the following equation (2): 0.08×[%Al]≤WREM≤0.2×[%Al], where WREMis a quantity (kg/ton) of the rare earth elements added.
