Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance ultrasonic transmitter/receiver having high sensitivity and being free from influence due to moisture absorption by applying deposition processing to a ceramic porous body or to provide an ultrasonic flow rate flow meter by using the ultrasonic transmitter/receiver. SOLUTION: Since an acoustic matching body 10 is formed by a ceramic porous body obtained by applying a resin film 13, having water repellency to a surface forming the framework of the ceramic porous body by deposition processing so as to make prescribed thickness, the surface of the ceramic porous body which easily absorbs moisture as property is coated with the resin film 13 and is not exposed; and thereby even if the ceramic porous body is left under temperature changes or high temperature and high humidity, the moisture absorption of the acoustic matching body is suppressed and effective output sensitivity can be maintained. Since the surface of the hard and fragile ceramic porous body is covered with the flexible resin film for preventing the ceramic porous body from being easily broken, anxiety regarding a part of the ceramic porous body being broken or dust being generated is eliminated.
