PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for a toilet bowl drainage channel capable of washing a toilet bowl satisfactorily and silently. SOLUTION: The intake device 200 for the toilet bowl drainage channel 5 comprises an intake means for sucking air from the toilet bowl drainage channel 5 connected to the lower reaches of a water sealing part 4 of a toilet bowl body 1. The intake means has an ejector 30 which is a negative pressure generator, and a suction tank 80 connected between the ejector 30 and the toilet bowl drainage channel 5. The intake device 200 further comprises a control device C controlling the execution of an intake stroke of the suction tank 80 sucking air from the toilet bowl drainage channel 5 and the execution of an exhaust stroke of the suction tank 80 exhausting air to the toilet bowl drainage channel 5. The control device C carries out the intake stroke after starting to supply wash water to a toilet bowl 2 of the toilet bowl body 1 and carries out the exhaust stroke before the completion of wash water supply to the toilet bowl.
