Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a meta data server, search terminal, and search system enabling a user to search not only attribute information of content to be searched, but also attribute information of a package including the content. SOLUTION: A content search system comprises the search terminal 1 for transmitting a search request of distributed content and the meta data server 20 for receiving the search request and replying a search result. The meta data server 20 is provided with a meta data storage part 22 for storing meta data at least describing corresponding relationship of the content and the package including the content. The meta data server 20 searches the meta data relating to the content and the package including the content stored in the meta data storage part 22 in response to the search request of the content, and replies the searched meta data to the search terminal 1.
