Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable drug product suitable for parenteral administration of a xantine derivative or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, in more detail, a drug product excellent in stability in storage of a long period that contains a high content of a xanthine derivative or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt that has antihypertensive, diuretic and kidney-protective effect and is especially useful as a drug for prevention, curing and treatment of renal failure, that is, a stable fat emulsion containing 8-(polycycloalkyl)-xantines and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. SOLUTION: The fat emulsion containing a xantine derivative or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt represented by formula (I), (wherein, R1and R2are the same or different and indicate a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl group; and Q indicates hydrogen, a hydroxy group or a hydroxy derivative) is provided.
