PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting Burkholderia plantarii and Burkholderia glumae by using the loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP process). SOLUTION: The LAMP primer for detecting Burkholderia plantarii comprises a primer set using the whole five kinds of primers having specific base sequences, anneals in a specific gene region of Burkholderia plantarii and amplifies the specific gene by the Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP process). The LAMP primer for detecting Burkholderia glumae comprises a primer set using the whole five kinds of primers having specific base sequences, anneals in a specific gene region of Burkholderia glumae and amplifies the specific gene by the LAMP process. The method for detecting Burkholderia plantarii and Burkholderia glumae comprises using these primers. The method for determining the presence of pathogenesis of damping-off and bacterial grain rot of rice plant comprises use of the primers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
