Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a limiter circuit which gives a stable and high insertion loss characteristic at a limiting mode time period and increases a power handling. SOLUTION: In the limiter circuit which includes a PIN diode shunt-connected between a transmission line and a reference potential, a coupling circuit provided at an input side of the transmission line, and a driver circuit to convert an RF signal taken out of the coupling circuit into a drive current of the PIN diode, the driver circuit has a series-connected detection diode and a shunt-connected detection diode and has a detection circuit to generate a bias voltage to give an input RF signal to the PIN diode by voltage-doubler-detecting it and a matching circuit to give the RF signal of a specific frequency taken out of the coupling circuit to a voltage doubler detection circuit.
