Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin optical fiber excellent in heat resistance and superior in mass-productivity, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The synthetic resin optical fiber comprises a core 1 composed of a transparent resin and a clad 2 composed of a resin with a refractive index lower than that of the core 1 and designed to cover the core 1 on the outer periphery.
