Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for calculating a pollen quantity nearest to a pollen quantity actually existing in the atmosphere, even when using a pollen measuring device of relatively low measuring accuracy. SOLUTION: This invention is a method for calculating a true pollen particle quantity in the atmosphere, and is characterized by calculating the true pollen particle quantity in the atmosphere, expressed by an expression (C): X=Zβ-γ/β-α, with the whole particle number captured in a vessel expressed by an expression (A): Z=X+Y and a discriminated pollen particle quantity expressed by an expressing (B): α×(Z-Y)+β×Y=γ, as a variable, by discriminating a particle predicted as a pollen particle based on a particle size and a degree of polarization from the whole particles, by capturing the whole particles in the vessel, by sucking a predetermined quantity of air in the vessel provided in a pollen particle measuring device.
