Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone hydrogel contact lens that can prevent the development of mucin ball which may occur to some contact lens wearers by a shearing force between the palpebra and the material, while the silicone hydrogel contact lens, which can supply a greater amount of oxygen to an eye ball than the conventional lenses, has an inherent problem of lacking wettability and therefore coatings and wetting agents have been applied to improve its wettability. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a composition containing a polymer base containing at least one type of volume exclusion polymer. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a polymer product that can be used as an osmotic pressure driver. The product can maintain a desired water balance by transferring moisture into/out of the base and keep the equilibrium of positive ion concentration between the base and its surroundings.
