Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application type polarizing element which has no defect in an alignment film and has excellent polarization characteristic. SOLUTION: A support is subjected to corona discharge treatment in condition of 2 to 10 W/cm2corona discharge intensity and 70 to 1,000 W min/m2corona discharge quantity and then is subjected to destaticization treatment.
