Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an on-vehicle diesel engine in which the seizure and wear of each part of the engine due to the dilution of a lubricating oil by regenerating treatment is suppressed while suitably removing, by burning, the particulate matters deposited on a filter by the regenerating treatment. SOLUTION: An oxidation catalyst 42 and a filter body 41 are disposed in the exhaust gas passage 30 of the diesel engine 10. An electronic control device 50 supplies a fuel to the oxidation catalyst 42 by a post injection when the deposited amount of the PM is estimated to exceed a predetermined amount, and performs an automatic regenerating treatment for burning the PM deposited on the filter body 41. Under the condition that a vehicle is stopped, a manual regenerating treatment is performed when a regeneration treating switch 70 is turned on. A warning lamp 71 for prompting a driver to perform the manual regenerating treatment is attached to the instrument panel of the vehicle. The electronic control device 50 turns on the warning lamp 71 when the efficiency of the automatic regenerating treatment is estimated to be relatively low. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
