Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which pages can be reduced fully, while the decipherment of each page is retained, an input display device, a display program, and an input display program, as they are. SOLUTION: The display device includes an image acquisition section which acquires the image of the page written with characters, an image reducing section which reduces the image of the page; an image display element which displays the image reduced in the image reduction section on a display screen; a complexity calculation section which calculates the complexity reflecting the complexity of the image structure, by analyzing the image structure about the image of characters in the image; and a reduction controller which suppresses the reduction ratio of the image reduction by the image reduction section, in such a manner that the complexity prior to reduction is maintained at the prescribed extent, even after reduction.
