Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a norbornene-based resin-made optical film excellent in the adhesion to a polarizing membrane and in such characteristics as transparency, heat resistance and chemical resistance and capable of maintaining excellent antistatic performance over a long period and a manufacturing method thereof, and to provide such a polarizing plate using this optical film that has a high reliability hardly to cause the delamination and deformation in a long-period use and has little biting of foreign matters from the environment in the manufacturing process, and also to provide a liquid crystal display using this polarizing plate. SOLUTION: The optical film with an antistatic performance is characterized by comprising a laminate of (A) a norbornene-based resin film and (B) an antistatic layer comprising (b1) a specified acrylic resin having in the side chain a quaternary ammonium salt and (b2) an antistatic coating material containing a hardener of a polyethylene-imine and/or a polyhydroxyalkane polyglycidyl ether.
