Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-resistant resin composition which excels in mechanical properties and flame retardance even after subjected to severe irradiation with radiation of about 2.5 MGy, exhibits suitable resistance to radiation in a smaller compounding amount of an additive, and hardly has any fear of blooming of the additive and a radiation-resistant wire and cable. SOLUTION: The radiation-resistant resin composition comprises 100 pts.mass polyolefin-based resin composed of 60-80 pts.mass ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, 5-20 pts.mass ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, and 10-20 pts.mass α-olefin copolymer, 0.3-5 pts.mass salicylate-based ultraviolet absorber, and 1-5 pts.mass hindered amine light stabilizer.
