Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of suppressing increases in clock frequency and gate size, and a controller. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with DSP 21 and 22, and a servo MPU 12 for controlling the position of a head with respect to a storage medium. The servo MPU 12 gives instructions to the DSP 21 and 22. The DSP 21 carries out at least one of demodulation calculation concerning demodulation of servo information and digital filter calculation based on the instruction from the servo MPU 12. The DSP 22 carries out correction calculation concerning position correction based on the instruction from the servo MPU.
