Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of high temperature laser welding. SOLUTION: A method of welding superalloy components comprises: a step of preheating one or more components to be welded to a temperature of 1,500°F and over in a substantially enclosed inert gas atmosphere; a step of supplying a plurality of fillers including at least two of the fillers having different compositions to the weld zone; and a step of welding the one or more preheated components utilizing a laser beam, while maintaining the preheat temperature.
