Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device for notifying a user of accurate information while saving the time and effort of inputting user registration data or the like. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device 3 adds meta data to each scene of a video recorded program, extracts a keyword on the basis of viewing history and the meta data, and transmits the keyword to a recommendation information distribution server 9. The recommendation information distribution server 9 transmits recommendation information based on the keyword, to the recording and reproducing device.
