Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode assembly for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell equipped with a proton conductive membrane having high workability and high proton conductivity, and having high power generation performance. SOLUTION: In the membrane-electrode assembly for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell formed by arranging an anode on one surface of the proton conductive membrane and a cathode on the other surface, by forming the proton conductive membrane with a polyarylene copolymer having a specific repeating structural unit, high workability and high proton conductivity can be obtained, and the membrane-electrode assembly for the polymer electrolyte fuel cell having high power generation performance can be provided.
