Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidification system which can overcome disadvantages of prior art systems, or which at least provides the public with a useful choice. SOLUTION: A humidification apparatus for humidifying gases flow to be supplied to a patient or other person in need of the gases comprises humidification chamber means 1 having an inlet and an outlet to allow the gases to pass through the humidifier chamber, chamber heating means 9 provided adjacent to the humidification chamber means and adapted to vaporize liquid water in the humidifier chamber means to supply water vapor to the gases flow passing through the humidification chamber means, and a humidifier chamber manifold 11 including mounting means in use housing at least one sensing means 7 or 8 in proximity to the outlet of the humidifier chamber means to connect the inlet of the humidification chamber means to a supply conduit means in use in fluid communication with gas delivery means for supplying the gases air flow at a desired pressure, and/or connecting the outlet of the humidification chamber means to a gases transportation pathway means 11 for conveying the gases flow to the patient or other person in need of the gases.
