Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device which is simple in constitution, superior in shelf life and obtains images similar to those of photographic grades. SOLUTION: An electrophotographic image forming apparatus uses a passable recording medium, at least part of which is transparent, to form an image. In this case, the device is provided with a liquid-applying means 15 which applies a nontransparent liquid to at least to an image-forming area from above an image-forming face, during a series of operations, after an image is formed on the recording medium by means of an electrophotographic method, and the image is fixed; and a cutting device 19 which cuts at least one or more recording medium ends, after the liquid is applied.
