Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant which manifests high removal efficiency for aldehyde and can be used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: A pellet-like object is obtained from a hydrated magnesium silicate clay mineral and a binding material, and carbohydrazide is added to the pellet-like object to obtain the deodorant. The carbohydrazide is added so as to be ≥1 pts.wt. and ≤15 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the pellet-like object to obtain the deodorant.
