Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing unit configuration for reducing the variation of fixability within a page and enhancing gloss. SOLUTION: The heat fixing device is configured so that pressure is partially applied to the downstream side of a nip in a heater. A member for applying pressure is composed of a member independent of the heater and has elasticity. A heating body has a hollow structure, expands by the application of heat, and applies pressure.
