Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic teller machine capable of preventing distribution of forged bills and suppressing reduction in operability due to detection of forged bill. SOLUTION: In the automatic teller machine, when a forged bill is detected from received bills or dispensing bills, transaction for bills of the denomination according to the forged bill is stopped. For bills of denominations for which the forged bill is not detected, the transaction is not stopped. Therefore, the automatic teller machine 1 can be prevented from being entirely stopped, and the reduction in operability due to detection of forged bill can be suppressed.
