Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC adaptor improved in portability by reducing its volume (occupying area). SOLUTION: A primary coil 3 and a secondary coil 4 are wound around the core 2, which is hollow and made of a bar-shaped magnetic body, to form a transformer 1, and a print circuit board 7, on which components such as a rectifying diode 8, a smoothing capacitor 9, a choke coil 10, a stabilizing circuit 11 or the like are mounted, is attached to the hollow portion 5 of the core 2 of the transformer 1. The printed circuit board 7 is accommodated in the hollow portion 5 of the core 2 to reduce its volume, and the AC adaptor 100 is formed into a thin and long bar shape to secure the portability close to a power cord.
