Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium extending a drawing area to the inner circumferential side and capable of preventing a cover layer and a light incident surface side of a substrate from being scratched in an optical information recording medium performing recording and/or reproducing by irradiation with a laser beam from the cover layer side. SOLUTION: A protruding part 11b in the vicinity of an edge part of a clamping area B at an inner circumferential edge of the substrate nearer to the inner circumference than an information recording area A is provided on an upper surface of the substrate 11 including a hole 11a at the center. A pre-groove 11Cc is formed in the information recording area. A reflective layer 12, a recording layer 13, and a cover layer 14 are provided on the substrate 11 in this order. A raised part 14b is provided in the vicinity of the outer circumferential edge of the cover layer at the outer circumferential part C nearer to the outer circumference than the information recording area of the cover layer 14. The protruding part 11b of the clamping area B is formed simultaneously with the molding of the substrate. Accordingly, the light incident surface is prevented from being scratched and the optical information recording medium having a wide drawing area is provided without deteriorating the drawing properties of a label surface.
