Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell containing a proton conductive compound as an active material in which cracks of a current collector made of rubber due to shrinkage at the time of drying of the coated film is suppressed, and which is superior in power characteristics. SOLUTION: A positive electrode and/or a negative electrode is manufactured by coating and drying a solution which contains a proton conductive compound as an active material, a conductive assistant, and a plasticizer, and then by removing the plasticizer.
